Do I receive vacation pay and stat pay and if so when?

All Spring Employees receive vacation pay in lieu of vacation time. Vacation pay earned is paid out at 4% of the employee’s wages each day they get paid or as otherwise required by legislation.

How am I paid at Spring Staffing?

We process payroll on a daily basis and your pay will be available for pickup from our office in cash the following day after 2pm as long as you submitted your time card to assane@springstaffinginternational.com before 10am. If you would prefer to receive your pay through direct deposit, once we have your details we can setup direct deposit to be sent to you weekly.

I noticed deductions on my paystub, what are these for?

By law, Spring must deduct money from your pay for: Income Tax, Employment Insurance Premiums, Canadian Pension Plan Premiums, and any other legal garnish against your pay

Does Spring Staffing give cash advances?

No. We cannot offer employees pay for work that has not or may not be guaranteed to be completed in the future.

How do I request an ROE or T4?

Please email d assane@springstaffinginternational.com or call our office to request an ROE. All T4’s for the previous year are available for pickup in the first week of February. If you would like it mailed to you please contact our office and confirm your mailing address.

How do I record my time?

We will provide you with a time sheet either by email or in person which you can take to the jobsite to record your time and have the customer approve it. You can then take a picture of this timecard and email it to assane@springstaffinginternational.com. We will send you an automated email confirming that we received it for processing.

What if I do not have all of the PPE required for a job?

Prime will ensure all workers have the “basic” Personal Protective Equipment (“P.P.E.”) required for their specific position and job duties assigned for the day. Basic P.P.E includes things such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots. Specialty P.P.E is expected to be provided by the end customers. All equipment provided and required for your specific assignment must be worn before entering the designated job site. P.P.E. is essential for a worker’s safety and well being; failure to wear the required P.P.E. for your job may result in the immediate termination of your employment.

What do I need to bring to the job site?

Feel free to bring your own PPE if necessary. Spring Staffing will also provide our own to you to ensure all workers have the proper mandatory PPE required for their specific position and job duties assigned for the day. All equipment provided and required for your specific assignment must be worn before entering the designated job site. PPE is essential for a worker’s safety and well being; failure to wear the required PPE for your job may result in the immediate termination of your employment.

What kind of PPE do I require for warehouse work?

What is the policy for drugs and alcohol?

No employee shall be under the influence of, in possession of, and/or using alcoholic beverages or drugs (other than medicines given under a Doctor’s prescription) during paid working hours. The solicitation, distribution and/or purchasing of drugs is strictly prohibited on Prime Staffing and our clients’ property. We currently have a drug and alcohol policy in place and zero tolerance.
